All of us have a responsibility to know how to act and react should the need arise during an actual emergency situation and amateur radio is needed for the security and welfare of our friends and neighbors.

You can take the course on line.  You can proceed with the course at your own pace.

It won't cost you anything if you're an ARRL member.

If you're not an ARRL member, join up and get reimbursed for the course which will more than pay for your membership, and you'll enjoy all the added benefits of ARRL membership too.

Even if you never use the education for emergency purposes, the course will give you a better understanding of the role radio plays.  And it'll assist you in being a more proficient operator.
