[SIERA] Assistant Nevada Section Emergency Coordinator (SEC) Appointed

I am very pleased to announce that Northern Nevada District Emergency 
Coordinator (DEC) Don Carlson KQ6FM has accepted appointment as Assistant 
Nevada Section Emergency Coordinator (ASEC).  As ASEC Don will be the 
Number Two man within the Nevada Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) 
organization.  Nevada Section Emergency Coordinator (SEC) Dick Creley KJ7UK 
suggested I make the appointment several weeks ago and Don's recent 
performance in the Waterfall Fire in Carson City has proven beyond any 
doubt that he is the right person for the job.

Don brings many years of senior ARES leadership experience to his new 
job.  Prior to moving to Nevada he was Assistant Section Manager and 
Section Emergency Coordinator for the Santa Clara Valley Section, 
comprising all of the California coast from San Francisco to Santa 
Barbara.  As Nevada Public Information Coordinator (PIC) and Northern DEC 
Don has proven to be an outstanding resource.  For the time being, Don will 
continue to serve as Northern Nevada DEC

As ASEC Don will obviously be working very closely with SEC Dick Creley and 
will have full and unqualified authority as SEC in Dick's absence.
