I bet some of you have been casually leaning back thinking that tonight's SIERA meeting was a non-event for you. What the heck, you know your equipment and, even in those Senior moments when memory escapes, you know how to look up the data in your manual. Right?
Having no quarrel with that, I have this considerable obligation to let you know what you'll be missing if you decide to stay home.
PBS will not be as informative as tonight's meeting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will (KD7NIR) and Larry (W6AXD) have prepared exciting programs!
Larry will have a presentation on how to get yourself set up with a highly capable base station in an extremely short time frame. These days of high potential for disaster and terror, it'll be good to know how to beat your way to a specified location and be doing business (and helping your fellow man) quickly. Larry has it in presentation form.
Will, on the other hand, in set to address the subject of RDF. Transmitter hunting is one of the fastest growing sports in ham radio. Several of us missed the July meeting, where Will presented this program, and we're most anxious to play catch up now.
Learn all the nuances of your equipment!
Learn about Radio Direction Finding!
Learn how to set up a base station in tout-suite time!
A not to be missed evening of college knowledge....and enjoyment with your friends!
Gads - - - who could ask for more? Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines.
