The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by President Walt Piper, W8CPO. There were 24 attendees who signed the attendance sheet.

Guests, new faces, faces not seen in a while:John and Blanche Decker ( KJ4HW and KC4HW), John Przychocki KB2NQT, Maryann Perry (neice of KB2NQT)

Minutes: Were electronically distributed on sept 15, 2013.

Correspondence: Shelbey N.C Hamfest to be held on Aug 31~Sept 1 2013 at Cleveland County Fair Grounds

Treasurer: Doug K7DJJ Ending balance for August is $11,628.04  

Secretary: Alan KC4MTS minutes distributed Sept 19 2013

Social: No Report

Education: No Report

Repeater: Repeater is operating - proxy report given by Dave Haney W3SJ

Repeater trustee: No Report  

Health and Welfare: Phil Russo W3ELS has been reported to have passed away some time in 2012.
Questions regarding status of Bob KK4NAT- contact with him made 1 week previous to meeting and he reports status quo ( as good as expected under chemo theropy)

VE: No testing in August.Ham Radio testing will resume the third Wednesday of September.

PIO (Public Information Officer): Walt Piper commmended Dave Millendorf on his excellant efforts for field day
