This morning I received a request from a ham to add her to the SHARC email 
reflector list. I did not recognize the callsign. Upon looking up KG4IUM on 
QRZ.COM, I discovered her name is Andrea Hartlage and she is located in 
Grayson, GA. Assuming she had sent her request thinking we were located in 
her area, I responded to her request. She replied that she was trying to
learn more about all the clubs in her division and indeed wanted to join our 
little list.

 I conducted a little more research into this remarkable young lady, and 
uncovered a lot more information regarding this very talented, motivated, 
and intelligent young woman. If our hobby is to survive, she is exactly what 
amateur radio needs a lot more of---and she is also, perhaps, a future 
astronaut.

 BTW---Andrea is now the newest subscriber to SHARCbits. Normally, only 
SHARC
members have been members of this list, but I think she will be a great 
addition.
