RI1FJZ -- Franz Josef Land (Update September 14th)

Nature's  Surprises (September 14th)

By midnight, the yacht approached the landing site and anchored offshore, but border guards prohibited disembarkation until 10 a.m. At 2 a.m., a severe storm arose, the yacht was torn from its moorings, and we were forced to return to sea. We are waiting for the wind to change direction to return to the landing point.

VASILY, RA1ZZ REPORTS: We were close to our target, but the military didn't give us permission to disembark until 10 a.m. We anchored at anchor, but a storm that began two hours earlier has once again altered our plans for the worse. We were torn from our anchor and are now forced to return to sea to prevent the yacht from washing ashore. From now on, we'll proceed as the situation dictates.
