Kan Mizoguchi, JA1BK -- Silent Key

From The Daily DX, I am sad to report: "World renowned DXer, DXpeditioner,

and CQ DX Hall of Fame member, and former Director of IARU Region 3

(1968-1975), Kiyoshi “Kan” Mizoguchi, JA1BK, passed away in May, 2026,

at the age of 93."

Kan, who is known for activating many and new DXCC entities for the

first time (such as The Marquesas, The Austral Islands, The Chesterfield

Islands, Ducie Island and Swain's Island).

He was a dear friend to your editor and will surely be missed by the

DX community. We send out our deepest sympathy to the friend and family

of JA1BK.
