Dear SFDXA Members and Friends,
We are excited to officially introduce The DX-Tra, the new monthly newsletter of the South Florida DX Association!
Our goal with this newsletter is simple — to create something informative, entertaining, and valuable for every member of our club, whether you are a seasoned DXer, contester, CW operator, digital mode enthusiast, or someone just beginning your HF journey.
Each issue will feature:
Club news and meeting highlights
DXpedition updates and rare entity activity
Operating tips and technical articles
Reviews of new software and tools for DXing
Upcoming presentations and events
Stories, opinions, and experiences from fellow members
This first issue is packed with outstanding content, including coverage of the KP5/NP3VI Desecheo DXpedition, upcoming DX activity, propagation and DX software tools, and a fantastic article titled “Working DX: Shouting at Random People.”
I especially want to extend a huge thank you to Howard Groveman, W6HDG, our Webmaster and Prize Chairman, for the tremendous amount of work, creativity, and dedication he put into bringing this newsletter to life. Howard invested many hours organizing content, designing layouts, and helping create something that truly represents the spirit and enthusiasm of SFDXA. His efforts are greatly appreciated by all of us.
We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
You can find the newsletter on our page https://sfdxa.com/dx-tra-newsletter/
