Greetings, Just a reminder that we have some coming events:

- November 30 (Sunday) DCARC: repairing and sealing a VHF/UHF antenna to keep out the rain

- December 5  (Friday) the DCARC Board Meeting

- December 9  (Tuesday) election of officers for 2026

- December 16 (Tuesday) DCARC/SFDXA Holiday dinner: RSVP with Rich here or Randy here

- December 20  (Friday to Saturday) Radio Amateurs of Canada Winter Contest (the DCARC club station is available)

RAC is the Radio Amateurs of Canada and is like our ARRL but with more power. The goal of the RAC Winter contest is to work as many Canadian stations as possible, especially the official RAC stations: VA2RAC, VA3RAC, VE1RAC, VE3RHQ, VE4RAC, VE5RAC, VE6RAC, VE7RAC, VE8RAC, VE9RAC, VO1RAC, VO2RAC, VY0RAC, VY1RAC and VY2RAC.

This is an opportunity to work all of the Canadian provinces and territories to win the Canadaward which I can tell you from personal experience is difficult - this is a chance to win it in one 24 hour period with smart operating and good band conditions.

10m has been very good for DX this past year, Technicians you can operate phone on 10m and we have 2 antennas for 10m.
