As everyone knows, K4FK has been off of the air for a while.  We found that the antenna was taking in water and the reflected power at the repeater was 10-12 watts.  While the repeater was still working, this was excessive, so a new antenna was ordered and received.

While waiting for better weather to change out the antenna, the PA failed.  The reflected power had doubled to over 20 watts,  causing the PA to fail.  Now the repeater was completely off of the air.

Elliot Gross KB2TZ and Bill Marx W2CQ made it to the site to replace the PA and antenna.  The mount for the Ham Radio antenna didn't fit the commercial mount.  Elliot said that he would have to fabricate a mount and jumper to install the antenna.  The PA was replaced with a new one.  However to prevent the destruction of the new PA, the repeater was powered down.  Hopefully soon, we will have the necessary mountings to install the new antenna and get the repeater back on the air.

Updates upcoming!
