Greetings my nice warm Florida friends!

Ex-Pat from Fort Lauderdale Bill Bass WB4Z here now up in 22 degree North Carolina!

I have a question for the group.  Are you going to HamCation 2025?

Please see below. I could sure use a trusted friend to drop my tickets in the bin there
this year and as Marv states below, same goes for you:

"You indicate that whoever does this in your behalf can keep any hourly prize that wins with your ticket but you
would want the grand prize which Hamcation will ship to you.

Is there anyone in this group that might be able to do this for me?

Any suggestions?

Over,
Bill

I am not planning to go to Orlando this year and cannot fulfill your request to drop the tickets in the bin.  You indicate that whoever does this in your behalf can keep any hourly prize that wins with your ticket but you would want the grand prize which Hamcation will ship to you.

I will pass your email to a couple of people who may be going to Orlando.

Hello Marv,

This is Bill Bass, friend of Bob, Rogers and fellow Amateur Radio operator extra class, WB4Z.

We have met a few times at HAMFESTS. Most recently at SHELBY.  I hope you remember me.

So I have a problem which I hope you can solve for me.

I bought two tickets to Hamcation 2025 with the full intention of going but then I found out our daughter needs us in Holland so my wife and I are traveling to HOLLAND at the end of January. We won’t be back until the middle of April so I was hoping that I could find somebody trusted and responsible to take my tickets and throw them in the barrel for me.

I asked Bob, but he’s unable to go and he recommended and suggested that I ask you.

Could you please consider accommodating my request?

I assume that you will be attending and it would be awfully nice of you to help me out and do this.

What’s in it for you? (that little voice inside your head may be asking Hi Hi)…..

If my tickets win any of the Hourly drawings you’re welcome to keep the hourly drawing or if you don’t need it then take it with you and I will get it from you in the future. If possible…

Sound like a plan?

I could mail you the tickets before we leave on January 20.

What say you sir?

Over,
Bill

 Good Morning Bill,

This from the top:

As for Hourly Door Prizes, you must be present to win/claim.  As for the grand prizes, you don’t have to be present to win and prizes will be shipped to the winner. As for sending tickets to us to drop in the barrel, no, we have plenty to do to remember to drop anyone’s tickets in the barrel.  Now, if they know of a friend that will be coming to HamCation and willing to do that for them, that’s ok.  They will not be able to claim any prizes, even hourly prizes, and we would ship any grand prizes that they may win.

So, Bill It looks like your best bet is to find a friend to deposit the tickets for you in the barrel, and if yours are pulled for any of the Hourly drawings, since you are not present you wouldn’t get it.  But, if yours are pulled for the grand prize, we would mail it to you, you would not have to be present to win it.
