Regretfully, I am going to have to raise the
price for OQRS QSLs, beginning October 4th.
PayPal apparently charges a fee, which reduces
the base OQRS fee to a point that it doesn’t
even cover the cost of an international stamp,
much less the envelope. The time it takes me to
verify multiple QSOs, from multiple island
locations, etc., is still on me, and I’m
committed to make that turnaround time as short
as is humanly possible. I truly appreciate
those who have included even a modest donation
with their OQRS and/or direct requests. You’ve
at least helped me break even so far, and
thanks!
So, on October 4th, I will raise the OQRS price
to $2.50 US. Direct mail QSL requests will
still be $2.00. I encourage you to send your
requests before the 4th in any case; I have a
trip planned in mid/late October (not radio,
just photography and music) that may delay OQRS
or mail received after mid-October. If you fall
into that gap, don’t worry. You can be assured
that I will place a priority on responding to
QSL requests as long as I’m alive, and will
focus on it as soon as I’m back home.
Very best regards, and thank you so much for the
donations and words of support. I’m very
pleased with the number of new island tickers I
seem to have filled, especially from NA-076.
