Howdy DXers,
Episode 2... Sunday .. the next day with a working antenna!
I got up Sunday and I had my DXBase logging software running in
the background while took care of other chores. The software is
set up as to only alert me when a spot comes in for a new band
country for me. Additionally, I have filters on the node so that
I only get spots from North America. (I could care less that a new
band country is being heard in Japan, as an example.) The
computer went crazy with alerts when 3B7M started being heard in
the USA on 10 metes, which is a new band country for me and I knew
that 3B6 was an ATNO for K4FK! I thought, oh well.. the band
will probably close before I can get to the club station. I was
wrong. I looked at VOACAP and got this:

Wow! The bands, 10-20 meters, was projected to be open to 3B7
pretty much all day!
I packed up and headed to the station and arrived around 10 AM.
Conditions were good! I was able to work them on 10 and 12 meters
for myself for new band countries and I was able to work them on
all 3 modes and 4 bands for K4FK. I left around 5. It was a good
day! Now for FT8WW, but he never shows up until late in our
evening.
