With much sadness, we announce that Ellen White W1YL Is SK.

Tom K5RC reported that she passed quietly in her sleep today.

Ellen joined FOC in May 1966, and was active in retirement from the her Florida contest station, and most recently remote via the W7RN Comstock Memorial station.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob White W1CW (913) in 2003, and her son Jim White K4OJ (1222) in 2004.  The entire White family was in service through the ARRL for many years, and have left an indelible stamp on amateur radio and FOC.

This is a very sad day.

She will be missed on the air, and at the Florida dinners.
