For those who do not follow KPH and the MRHS:

This coming Saturday [23 Jul], as part of their normal on-air routine, KPH will transmit a message encrypted with an WW2 German Enigma machine, and everyone is challenged to copy it [15 WPM] on one of KPH's working frequencies, decrypt it, and email it for a certificate.  Since very few of us still have our uniforms or Enigma machines from that time, there are a number of simulators on-line [you were expecting somewhere else?].  Full details at https://www.radiomarine.org/

The MRHS publishes a monthly E-news via email that is a really interesting read, and a glimpse back to a time when CW ruled the waves [sorry Britannia].  They also very gratefully accept donations to help preserve one of the last remaining, operational, coast stations.
