"European
Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations
(CEPT), has suspended
the Russian Federation and Belarus from CEPT membership, in a
March 17
announcement. It was requested by CEPT members. The
suspension, which took
effect March 18, is indefinite. In the CEPT Assembly there were 34
supportive
responses to the proposal, and one abstention. Future readmission
will
need a two-thirds majority vote."
What this means for hams is that we will no longer have CEPT license
privileges in the Russian Federation (RA) or Belarus (EW) just in
case your travel plans take you there, or their plans bring them
here.
CEPT reciprocal privileges with almost 100 remaining CEPT respecting
nations (including the US) remain intact.
