We are planning to sell the vacant lot next door that we own that has
several towers on it. So, for sale is one of my two U.S. Tower MA550-MDP
tubular towers with the MARB550 Base and the MAF550 tilt over mechanism.
You will never have to climb your tower again. The rotator (not
included) mounts in the base and that makes it a pleasure to change the
rotator or realign the direction of the beams. This tower comes with
stand-off coax arms, mast, and mounting bolts for the concrete base (no
nuts) and nestles to 22’ and the entire tubular tower turns. Tower
extends to 55’ and it has limit switches, so it goes up or down with the
push of the toggle switch. You don’t ever have to crank it – it’s all
electric up and down. What a pleasure! Do not ask me for the specs as
it is on-line at U.S. Tower or come by a see it. This is for pick-up
only in Stuart. The tower is on 2x4 supports but the tubular tower
itself weighs over 500 lbs. The tilt-over mechanism and rotating base
can be easily lifted by one or two guys. A heavy-duty dolly and a boat
trailer with winch could work to transport it. I have a heavy-duty come
along and an A-frame which could lift it onto a heavy-duty dolly or hand
truck, but you (and your crew) will have to provide the manpower and the
dolly or hand truck as I am limited in my lifting capability. It is 15
years old, so it needs to be kept well-lubricated. I am the only owner
as I bought it new from U.S. Tower. The cables have been recently
professionally restrung by Matt (KC1XX) at XX Towers about 3 years ago
all with stainless steel cables. If you can afford the wait, U.S.
Tower will sell you a brand-new tower for $25,000. You can have my used
one for $2,000.
I posted this several months ago and only had one guy who wanted the
tower, but had no way to transport is, and two guys who wanted my vacant
lot! Therefore, I have lowered the price because Sherry want it out of
the backyard.
