[SFDXA] About this group, sfdxahams at groups.io and SFDXA at mailman.qth.com

Below is an email from SFDXA President Jeff WB3ISP reiterating a 
decision about communicating with the SFDXA members made in the past.

To be abundantly clear about the next steps for the mailing lists.

sfdxa at groups.io will be the ONLY Official SFDXA mailing list.

It will be the ONLY source of emails for members and non-members.

Permissions for the group have been set to Public so it can be found in 
the directory.

New (sfdxa at groups.io) members require approval before joining. (You 
apply and one of us will approve you)
New (sfdxa at groups.io) members are automatically moderated for their 2 
first posts.  After 2 approved posts then they're free to post with no 
moderation

All other mailing lists can stay there for historical purposes. I'd even 
argue that we could unsubscribe all members from it.

We can create a separate mailing list for members at sfdxa.com that houses 
only active members. This will allow us to communicate membership 
information to them without including non-members.

I hope this clarifies things going forward.

Note that this decision was made at a meeting years ago when Randy was 
president when we migrated the website from QTH.com

Aside: I started the sfdxahams at groups.io before knowing that Norm had 
started sfdxa at groups.io and no one was using it.

We stayed with his version because it has more features that sfdxahams@ 
would have to pay to use.

As Secretary it is my responsibility to communicate information to the 
members.
I will only do that on sfdxa at groups.io
