*This weekend: CQ World Wide DX Contest,CW

*The CQ World Wide DX Contest,CW,takes place this weekend, beginning
on November 29 at 0000 UTC and ending on November 30 at 2359
UTC.Complete rules are on the CW World Wide DX Contest website.

Contest director K1AR, John Dorr, adds several additional points:

--Ensurethatyour signal quality is clean. Most modern rigs allow for
rise/fall
time adjustments to their CW waveform. Itisadvised that everyone's setting
should be at 6msor longer.

--Operators noticing dirty/clicky CW this weekend should take pictures
ofspectrum/waterfalls, make
note of frequency, callsign, and time, and passthese details to us via
theCQWW Contact Form.
Our SDR team will be prioritizing the investigation of dirty signals
thisyear.

--Lastly, there is a growing trend with many high-scoring stations
tosubmit their logs at the last
minute. At the very least, the optics forthis behavior are poor and we
are taking notice. Youwill note
that time/datestamps are now being reported on the“logs received” page,

“Above all,” Dorr says,“be sure to have fun this weekend! This is the
world's largestand most popular
contest!”
