Howdy DXers,

The May meeting is tonight!  I am forwarding the invite below in case 
some of you didn't get the invite.  I had some folks say that they 
didn't get it!

We are back at the Florida Medical Center!

Many of you are familiar with the complementary dinners that we used to 
receive from the Cafeteria.  Those were sponsored by the hospital and 
the club received a $7.00 donation to the club from members that 
participated.

Unfortunately, there are no "complementary" dinners tonight.  I have not 
confirmed the cafeteria hours at this time.  If the cafeteria is open, 
I'm sure that they will accept your funds for your dinner!

Again... I look forward to seeing many members IN-PERSON!

Howdy DXers,

Many of our members were at the "Pete Rimmel Memorial Picnic" at the 
DCARC Club Station today.  I certainly had a wonderful time, seeing some 
old friends, meeting some new friends, and meeting some prospective 
members for the South Florida DX Association. I will post a recap of the 
picnic festivities shortly.

As I announced in mid March, to our great delight, we are meeting again 
at the Florida Medical Center Auditorium.  This location has been our 
official meeting location for many years and we also have our club 
station located there.

We lost the privilege of meeting there when Covid-19 showed up! There 
were NO GATHERINGS mandated and, of course, we had to comply!  During 
the 3 years between then and now, we met at restaurants and later at the 
QTH of member Fred WB4BAG, also known as the DCARC club station.  We are 
very thankful for Fred's graciousness in opening his facility to have 
our meetings there.  We are also very grateful for Doreen Jamison's 
efforts in helping us return the club to the FMC facility.

When you arrive you will need to show photo ID at the front security 
desk.  Upon entering, proceed to the main hall and turn right.  After 
turning right, the Auditorium is at the end of the hall on the right.

I would like to encourage as many as possible to make the meeting 
IN-PERSON if possible.

All are WELCOME!

We will continue the meetings on Zoom as well, although discussion has 
been made to drop Zoom in favor of only IN-PERSON meetings, with Zoom 
only being used to bring in out of town speakers.
