[SFDXA] SFDXA July Meeting

Howdy DXers,

I am sorry for disappearing for a few weeks.  I have been spending an 
enormous amount of time on my dad's estate, working with CPAs, 
attorneys, banks and my 2 brothers (heirs) to work out the distributions.

I have some great news as a result!  We were able to distribute the 
funds except for 20k to cover CPA fees, attorney fees, and estate income 
taxes.  This means I can start actively looking for a new QTH that is 
"Ham Friendly!"  This is a huge burden lifted from me.

Unfortunately, my duties with SFDXA have suffered an I apologize. Let's 
pick up where we left off!

As I announced in mid March, to our great delight, we are meeting again 
at the Florida Medical Center Auditorium.  This location has been our 
official meeting location for many years and we also have our club 
station located there.

We lost the privilege of meeting there when Covid-19 showed up! There 
were NO GATHERINGS mandated and, of course, we had to comply!  During 
the 3 years between then and now, we met at restaurants and later at the 
QTH of member Fred WB4BAG, also known as the DCARC club station.  We are 
very thankful for Fred's graciousness in opening his facility to have 
our meetings there. We are also very grateful for Doreen Jamison's 
efforts in helping us return the club to the FMC facility.

When you arrive you will need to show photo ID at the front security 
desk.  Upon entering, proceed to the main hall and turn right.  After 
turning right, the Auditorium is at the end of the hall on the right.

*I would like to encourage as many as possible to make the meeting 
IN-PERSON if possible.

Unfortunately, the cafeteria is closed at meeting time, so there will be 
no food at the meeting.  This was a cost cutting move by the new owners.

All are WELCOME!

We will continue the meetings on Zoom as well, although discussion has 
been made to drop Zoom in favor of only IN-PERSON meetings, with Zoom 
only being used to bring in out of town speakers.
