It’s a hands-on way to learn about this fascinating hobby and see how it
can be used in everyday life, from chatting with neighbors to supporting
emergency communications during disasters.
*Shop for Gear*
Looking for your first radio or some accessories? The flea market is a
treasure trove of new and used equipment. You can find everything from
handheld radios to antennas, often at great prices. Plus, experienced
operators are there to help you understand what you need and how it works.
*Get Licensed*
The SWFL Regional Hamfests offer FCC license testing on-site. If you’ve

opportunity to take the test and join the community.
*Meet Like-Minded People*
Hamfests are incredibly social events. You’ll meet people who share your
interest in technology, communication, and problem-solving. Whether
