Last Chance!

The 2024 Annual Pete Rimmel Family Picnic is this coming weekend and 
Friday night is your last chance to get tickets.
There are links on the club's website.

It's only $15 to cover food and drinks.  The picnic portion of the 
weekend is scheduled for around noon on Sunday and there will be plenty 
to eat.  Our Master Chef, "Tony the Butcher" (W6TNY) will be manning the 
grill and Phil & Elza are supplying the food.  In addition, there will 
be snacks available mid-day Saturday for those helping with 
setup/startup/operating of the QSO Party.  Dinner on Saturday will 
consist of left-overs, maybe even a pizza.  On Sunday morning, Tony will 
cook up some donated farm-fresh eggs for a breakfast for those arriving 
early for the second-day startup of the QSO Party (it begins at 8am).  
These three meals are outside the picnic and are for everyone -- just be 
there at the right time.

Stick around Sunday at 3:30pm and you can participate in the Fox Hunt.  
Just bring your 2m  radio and (if you have one) a directional antenna.  
The first year we had this event, a club member won the grand prize by 
using his body as an RF shield and located the fox with a 2m handheld 
and rubber duck antenna!  The Fox will be hidden on the 10 acre parcel 
surrounding the club station.

Finally, we are planning to raffle off the door prizes at 6pm (the 
conclusion of the QSO Party).  Because it's gotten pretty late by then, 
we will use the ticket-method to hold the 50/50 and other prizes.  If 
you participate and can't stay, SAVE YOUR TICKET!  We plan to announce 
the winners by ticket number Sunday night on the website and hold the 
prizes for redemption.

Remember, to round out the activities, we have a mini-flea also on 
Sunday and are conducting FCC Testing (we have at least two candidates 
so far).

What did I forget?  Hmm....

Even if you can't participate, stop by anyway!
