/Thanks to Jack W4JS and Tony N2MFT:/

Here's some follow up comments from Steve-K4EU regarding the
consolidation of the two 4th District QSL Bureaus.

*From:* Steve Hawley <k4eu.steve at gmail.com>

FYI, 4S7AB was in here 599 on 20m long path this morning.  His timing
was perfect as it was right at the time for potential propagation.  I
haven't seen him spotted for some time, but I also worked him for the
2021 DX Marathon.

Hi Jack;
FYI - With the consolidation of the two 4th call area QSL Bureaus into
one, here's the website folks should be viewing -

https://www.cdxa.org/w4qsl-bureau/index.php

It appears one day it will be hosted by the Sterling Park club instead
of the CDXA in Charlotte, NC.....  You are fortunate to have Jerry/N4JR
as your sorter as we know he will do an outstanding job....

As you know, I am the "Z" cards sorter....

It appears the Sterling Park manager/NQ4K will forward cards to
individual sorters on a more frequent basis.  One big box of cards
arrived approximately every six months from CDXA....  I've already
received a small batch of ZED cards from NQ4K...

I just had an e-mail exchange with Jerry Rossano-N4JR over in
Hollywood, Alabama, who has been sorting and distributing the
single-letter "J", "O" and "R" prefix cards for as long as I can
recall.  He offered this update on the 4th District:
You probably heard that the two 4th area Bureaus combined into one.
I took on the double-letter "O"s and "R"s, added to my original
    single-letter prefix "J", "O" and "R". Shouldn't be a problem as the
QSL business has dropped off considerably since the advent of LoTW.
Looks like the new regime will be shipping me cards at smaller
intervals than before so that should make sorting a little easier.
The dramatic decrease in physical QSLing undoubtedly reduced the
need for two bureau operations in the 4th district.  I see that the
    "winner" is the
    *Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club*
    Call Box 599
    Sterling, VA 20167
So, if you have a 4th district call sign and use the bureau system
for incoming DX cards, the guy who sorts and mails out those cards
to you may have changed.  If you had sent SASE's or dinero to either
of the former two bureaus, I reckon they will be forwarded to the
new sorter is necessary.  We know that Tom-KN4ONE was surprised when
he received a QSL packet from Jerry several weeks back.
BTW, with regard to the outgoing bureau service, you know that it is
just for QSLs to DX stations.  However, there is one exemption.  If
that DX station has a QSL manager in the US, you can use the bureau
to send a card to that manager.  Over the years, I have received a
number of stateside QSLs via the bureau for some of the DX stations
    for whom I manage QSLs.
