Alpha 76CA For Sale (s/n 5697) – Upgrade by Dick Byrd to be better than new. Three tubes (8874) with heavy-duty Peter Dahl Hipersil transformer.  He is an amp that will give you full QRO output on FT8 without blinking.

The following modifications and upgrades were performed by Dick Byrd:  Brand new front panel and metal cover (Cosmetically, it’s a 10 out of 10), WARC band fix for 12 meter operation (full output on all WARC bands), QSK vacuum relay upgrade with ‘soft key’ interface, replaced RCA jack RF input connector with PTFE SO-239, meter doubler shunt for PA current meter, reduced drive modification, grid overcurrent protection circuit (etched PC board), new military grade Tune and Load capacitors , 6:1 planetary drive for tune and load capacitors, stand-off posts installed for 20 ohm 25W resistor (R6), R28 10 ohm ½ W resistor replaced with 1W precision resistor, C32 2-8pf air trimmer replaced with 22uf, 35V tantalum, C39 10uf low voltage supply capacitor replaced with 1000uf, 50V electrolytic.  Comes with original manual and dust cover.  $1800.  Pick-up in Stuart.
