LEGACY WSA PRODUCT WEBSITE TO BE DISCONTINUED FEBRUARY 18, 2022.
published: Thursday, January 20, 2022 03:35 UTC

*Effective February 18, 2022, the NWS will discontinue the Legacy Wang
Sheeley Arge Website*

issued by the Space Weather Prediction Center. This webpage provided
graphics of the predicted solar wind speed and interplanetary magnetic
field polarity at Earth. There were six comments received, four of which
advocated to continue the website for research purposes. Two comments
acknowledged the retirement of the website with one request for the
website to be archived for historical purposes. A version of these
products is expected to run on the NWS Weather and Climate Operational
Supercomputer System (WCOSS) as a part of the WSAEnlil model system.
SWPC has no set time frame for when these products will be available
from the WCOSS version of WSA but it is not expected before the end of
2023. Users can access products from the WCOSS version of WSA at this
website:https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/wsa-enlil-solar-wind-predictionIf
