I recently purchased a 24’ long, 3” OD (2” ID) round steel DOM (drawn over mandrel) tube with .500” (1/2”) wall thickness, ASTM A513 (1020), which I had cut into three 8’ sections. I used two of these 8’ steel tubes as a support tube (5’ in concrete, 3’ above) for two very large DX Engineering verticals on 160 and 80. I have one 8’ section left available for purchase. The 8’ tube is super heavy-duty (Rockwell Hardness B80, yield 60,000 PSI) and weighs over 100 pounds. It has been commercially painted with Rustoleum. This is loads more stronger than a 2-1/2” (2.895” OD) schedule 80 galvanized steel thick-walled pipe you might be tempted to use. For pick-up only, in Stuart. $100.
