DEFCON as defined by the US Government and our military allies has nothing
to do with the Amateur Radio. It is a pre-defined level of alert that is a
method of escalating and de-escalating military orders... things like
leave, authorities of command, positioning of resources.
The current DEFCON level is potentially classified as it changes.
Don’t assume the author knows what they’re talking about.
