I am not answering your question directly but am making you an offer.

I have a DB 18 that has developed either a cabling or EHU problem.

If you can help me take it down and dissemble, you can have it.

I live in Osprey, Florida which is in Sarasota county on Little Sarasota Bay.

Let me know if you (or any other HAM) are interested.
