I should have mentioned that there has been a SFDXA DX group set up for some time, but only a couple of members have joined and it is very inactive. I would encourage you to sign up for both Groups, one Florida wide, and the other SFDXA members. The name of the club group is DX_SFDXA. Look for that on SKYPE and request access, or send me a request with your SKYPE ID and I can add you to the group. I think once you get use to the operation and begin to use the Instant Msg and Image and document transfers capability among club members you will find it is a great additional communications tool.

I joined the SFDXA meeting tonight but alas only as a Zoom SWL as for some reason my MIC audio was not being sent beyond my own headset. Tomorrows problem to solve.
I was interested in the discussion regarding 6m openings which have been very good most mornings and again about Sundown. Not that I have been working it, but the group on the Florida_DXers chat room seem to be doing very well. Those interested in working DX, the SKYPE Conversation Group is exclusively for Florida DXers with members for South Miami to Lake City, which gives an interesting picture of propagation on many of the bands.
I would invite all 'Florida DXers' to consider joining the group it has the spotting benefits of a local repeater, but it is 'silent' as the spots are text messages, no loud speaker to interfere with your open MIC. Many other communication advantages as graphics and images can be sent instantly also. Propagation charts, spread sheet data, DX pedition news easily sent to those signed in.
What's required? Well chasing DX is one criteria, a PC and SKYPE account (which is free), and a request to join. If you have a SKYPE account now , just search for Florida_DXers and request an invite. Or send me your SKYPE name and I can send you the invite. One convention we like to adhere to is the format of your Alias Name or 'Display Name' (it can be different than your account ID name). The preferred format is your CALL_Name, W4QN_Norm as an example. The underscore is important as it links the two words.
Any questions let me know , I also have a FAQ sheet that will assist in setting up and account and becoming a member of the Group.
