I wanted to share a link to the below (free) tools that I have come across
that are a great way to improve proficiency in running a frequency in CW,
whether it be for a contest or running a pileup.
*Morse Runner* http://www.dxatlas.com/MorseRunner/
Simulates pile ups or contests and has settings to simulate tough band
conditions that can be individually set such as QRN, QRM, QSB. Even has a
setting for LIDS that will occasionally tune up on frequency or start
calling CQ.
*Pileup Runner *http://www.dxatlas.com/PileupRunner/
Simulates pile ups (you get to pick your call for your dream DXpedition and
continent you want to work as well as the size of the pileup) using a
visual display similar to CW Skimmer
*RufzXP* http://www.rufzxp.net/
Simple tool to practice copying callsigns. The speed adjusts to your
capabilities and keeps you on your toes...
Outside of being practice tools, they are just plain fun...
