[SFDXA] Hope Smith

I visited Hope at the Atria Saturday.

I delivered the check that was voted on in the last meeting with a 
sympathy card signed on behalf of all of the SFDXA members.?? I also 
mentioned the memorial brick that SFDXA was going to place in the ARRL 
Diamond Terrace in memory of Don W3AZD for his unrelenting service to 
SFDXA.

She was very delighted about the check and the memorial brick!

Also, I asked about her antenna situation, attempting to rectify her 
weak signal into the SFXDA repeater. She wasn't sure what connectors she 
had on her handheld.

I texted Melanie Fernandez to see if she could determine what Hope 
needed.?? Melanie graciously helped and later texted me back, saying that 
her club was going to take care of the antenna situation.?? I expressed 
my thanks to Melanie on behalf of the club, and asked that she call me 
anytime the SFDXA can help.

Hopefully, Hope can join us more often on the repeater soon?? with a 
noise free signal.

If?? anyone wants to call Hope and say hello, please do.?? She would love 
to hear from you.?? You will have to call her cell, since I was told that 
they cannot transfer calls to rooms from the main number.
