I have been rather incommunicado lately since I have been in Marietta and Smyrna, GA since November 7th. 

My dad, Tarver Shirley, collapsed to the kitchen floor the previous Sunday, November 3rd, due to a serious infection in his left leg. He was rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he was given IV antibiotics for the infection. Unfortunately, the infection has resulted in some serious Sepsis and he had deteriorated. He was moved to Delmar Gardens rehab center in Smyrna on Friday, November 15th, where he is today.  

Unfortunately, he hasn't responded well to the rehab and his mental capacity has decreased dramatically. If he doesn't show any more progress in a few days, he will be moved to Palliative Care. 

I'm not sure when I will be back in South Florida. Thanks to all for your prayers.
