*GEOMAGNETIC STORM: * A dense cloud of plasma brushed against Earth's
magnetic field on Saturday, June 8th, sparking a minor G1-class
geomagnetic storm. The gaseous material may have been the flank of a
slow-moving CME that left the sun on June 3rd. NOAA forecasters have
issued a watch for more G1-class activity on June 9th as Earth's
magnetic field continues to reverberate from the glancing blow. Visit
