Congratulations to Dave Siddall, K3ZJ,  on his appointment  as new ARRL General Counsel.  I first met Dave in 1979 when he worked for Senator Goldwater, and he helped us to obtain a permit to operate from Desecheo Island. This was the first legal DXpedition from Desecheo as KP4AM/D.  Dave later worked for the FCC and now has his own law firm in Washington.  He is a great contester and DXer and writes for CQ Magazine.
