South Florida DX Association Meeting is this Wednesday November 7th at 7:33
PM

We have a fun and informative meeting planned this Wednesday, November 7,
so please join us. Ed Callaway, N4II, will be presenting a talk on designing
his new and imaginative antenna system ("Antenna Farm on Paper").

It is Nominations time for 2019 SFDXA Officers and Directors. The nominating
committee has come up with a slate of individuals to run the club next year.
If you want to nominate a Full member, you can do it at this meeting. If
there are no floor nominations, we have a full slate, and can simplify the
voting process by having one floor vote to elect them by acclamation.

SFDXA members are invited to bring their QSL cards destined for DX stations
via the ARRL Outbound Bureau to this meeting. Mark, K2AU, will collect and
aggregate those cards on your behalf for forwarding to ARRL at no cost to
members.

The SFDXA Meeting is held at the Florida Medical Center on Oakland Park Blvd
just east of the Florida Turnpike. There is no exit on the Turnpike at
Oakland Park Blvd., so travel west from I-95 on Oakland Park Blvd. past
US441 to the hospital (about 4 traffic lights west after 441 on the left
before the Turnpike Bridge). Walk through the Main Entrance and tell the
Guard you are there for the Radio Club Meeting. For those using a GPS the
hospital address is Florida Medical Center, 5000 Oakland Park Blvd.

Join us at 6:00 to 6:45pm and have dinner from the FMC cafeteria for a $7.00
donation to the Club. Remember, only one entrée. Walk across the hall
with your tray to the auditorium and meet friends and discuss and brag
about your activities, new contacts, recent QSLs you've received and
rag chew. Formal meeting begins at 7:33 PM.

Come and bring a friend. Everyone is Welcome.
