> I first want to thank everyone for their support, kindness, love & healing light.
>
> I had only slept 13 hours in 7 days through all of it.
>
> Dad was not himself on Monday, the 11th. He was napping all day long & never got out of his PJ's.
> Every time I called he was napping.
> I knew something was wrong & I didn't sleep all night.
> Tuesday morning, I called Dad.
> NO answer. I knew it. Something was wrong.
> I called every 10 min.
> By the 3rd call, I yelled into the answering machine---"Daddy, help is on the way. The ambulance is coming."
> I quickly googled Dania Beach Police Dept. & told them to get EMT's to Dad ASAP.
> Then, I called the Plumbers who had put in Dad's new toilet when I was there in May.
> They also helped by calling 911 & sent help.
> My intuition was correct.
> Dad had a septic infection that probably took about 10 days to move through the system.
> He was probably trying to get to the toilet & collapsed/passed out because of the infection. He had a fever.
> They said that he was white as a sheet & not responsive verbally.
> They got him to Memorial Regional Hospital STAT.
> Through the phone @ the Hospital, I heard Dad say his last words..."Yes, yes, ---my daughter lives in NM."
> After that, Dad went 'inside'.
> My cousin/Dad's nephew flew in from Nashville to be with him once he was admitted.
> I arrived 1 1/2 days later. My friend/volunteer, Sabine, came & stayed with the pack.
> Dad had fluid in the left lung which they drained.
> As time progressed, other family members arrived from back east.
> Blessings to you all for helping me with cleaning the home & get some things in order.
>
> Thank you to all of you....to everyone.
> I know that not everyone has the time, money or ability to come to FLA.
> But I know that you all were here in Spirit.
> That is what counts.
>
> Daddy passed to be with The Lord & Mamma & all his other friends & relatives (& hopefully my pack members that have passed) Saturday--16th of June--2:54 EST.
>
> The Funeral was absolutely amazing.
> It was at the Military Cemetery & the service was under a gorgeous pavilion. Birds were chirping & singing.
> There was such power, love, gentleness, humor, joy & honor. I know that this is exactly what Dad wanted.
> I could hear everyone gasping when Taps was played. He was behind one of the trees playing it & it wafted through the breeze. Not a dry eye to be seen. Hearts were opening wide. The flag on the pine casket was folded & presented to me & today, I will purchase the triangular glass frame & it will be on the wall above the photo of Dad, me & Hokshila (the timberwolf ambassador) at a past even that was held on Father's Day in Albuquerque.
>
> A dear friend spotted a special rare butterfly 'visiting' us at the funeral. What a great sign!
>
> Dad had an amazing run.
> 93 years in a body that served him well.
> Never really ever ill or sick.
> Dad never really complained about anything.
> He's such a great man, a great being.
> He truly lived his life to help others.
> He & Mamma always taught me to give from your heart.
> Do good for others.
> THAT was Dad.
>
> I cannot thank you all enough for helping me in all it's myriad of forms.
> Help is so important in a time of need.
> Thank you.
>
> Dad has asked me to let people know --
> in lieu of flowers, he would like people to donate to my Rescue Org.,
