I am sad to report that Vant K4LM passed away today shortly after noon.  

I went to his Hospice room at the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center to visit with him, his wife, sister and two daughters.  

We had a good visit for about 2 hours.  He was comfortable and awake, though he could not talk.  He did recognize me and responded with small smiles as we talked and joked. 

Several other relatives showed up and I figured I would take my leave, with all of them crowding into the hospice room. 

During my 1+ hour drive back to my home his daughter called me to tell me that he had passed away.  

He is up with all the good Contesters and DXers now.
