For sale is a DX Engineering AVA-2 Active Receive Vertical Antenna Matching 
Unit, with the mounting plates, ground clamp, hardware and the 102” whip 
element. This unit is new and has been weather-sealed, but has never been 
outside.  I bought four of these several years ago to use as a 4-square 
receive antenna system for 160 and 80, but decided to use only two of them 
in a vertical array with the DX Engineering Receive Antenna Phasing 
Controller.  This is what I am using as a receive only antenna for the low 
bands.  You could use only a single receive whip and still get good results, 
As you know, reducing noise on the low bands is better than increasing 
signal strength.

Features of AVA-2 Active Receive Antennas include:

All you need to get going is a ground rod for mounting the unit, RG-6 
feedline, and a bias tee for one unit.  If you use two units with a phasing 
controller, you don’t need a feedline voltage injector as the voltage is 
supplied from the controller.  $75 each.  Two are available.  Pickup in 
Stuart or Tamarac.  Shipping would be expensive since the whip is 8.5 ft. 
long and requires special packaging.
