I tested the Hy Gain Tailtwister today, and it is working as it should.
Luckily, no water got inside the housing. The 500 ohm positioning pot runs smoothly.
We will need a new 9 pin plug for the cable that plugs into the bottom of the rotor.
We have not yet tested the cables and coax that are on the roof.
I have purchased two sections of Rohn 25 to replace the damaged sections.
Unfortunately, It appears that the Repeater antenna was damaged. Any times we have high winds, there is noise on the repeater when it is up.
I attribute that to the fiberglass outer covering being broken, and allowing the inner part of the antenna to be broken or have an intermittent connection somewhere.
For now it is working, but please be patient with it when it is noisy.
