> Do you have time during the day to go to our Broward County Shelters, Special Care Facilities, Hospitals, EOC’s and other places in Broward County that need an antenna check-up?  This needs to be done as soon as possible before the upcoming hurricane season starts and the schools close down after June for the summer vacation and it is difficult to gain access.

> The equipment that you will need is a Handi Talkie with at least five watts with the frequencies of 147.210 +6, PL 131.8, / 146.790 – 6 PL 88.5, 146.910 – 6 PL110.9 and 146.520 simplex programed in your radio before to go out to check antennas, an SWR Bridge, about 15 feet of coax with PL-259 connectors on each end, a connector to your radio that will accept a PL 259, a barrel connector to connect to the PL-259 connector to the antenna, a pen and a pad of paper to write down the SWR and then report back to me.  If the SWR’s are more than 2.5 to 1 then we would probably end up repairing or replacing the connectors and/or antenna.
