At the meeting the 2016 SFDXA DX HOG was presented to John Sharp K2SHA.
John was not in attendance but he will not be able to escaped the
appropriate Snorting at a future meeting. Hope Smith WB3ANE was the 2015
HOG and given the personal smaller HOG Award to keep.
It was announced that the May Meeting Date has been Changed to May 10th.
The reason for the Change is Ed Dauer has Invited Members of the SFDXA
and Spouses or Guests(adults) to the Dauer Car Museum in Sunrise
Florida. There will be light refreshments.
Ed has hosted us before and wants to do this again. No Formal meeting or
speakers just a chance to see Ed's Unbelievable collection of Cars, the
Gas Station...Look for the New(Old) Traffic Signal from the 30's. Also
the 1950's/60's TV Studio with Cameras. An original Electron Microscope
and an Original Shoe Fitting Fluoroscope! Remember those when you were a
kid?
I will be asking for a count in coming weeks(so Ed's staff can
prepare)and there will be more information in as to location, time etc.
It was great to see everyone including a visitor from Canada VA3ISP.
Sorry if you couldn't make it and we will see you at a future meeting.
Consider being a volunteer to work with the club, as an SFDXA Officer or
Board Member. We want you to be a volunteer, little experience required.
Remember to CALL IN YOUR DX SPOTS on the SFDXA Club Repeater 147.33+
103.5 Tone during the day. It might be needed by some one or hear the
Band is open. Someone listening to the repeater is working DX all the time.
73,
Bill Marx W2CQ
