Thanks to all those who helped today up at FMC to get the replacement Rohn tower sections up, the 60 lb. 2” x 15 ft. mast into the thrust bearing and the rotor cable plug spliced onto the existing cable.
We also got the Butternut vertical back up 18 feet higher as a temporary antenna until we can get the TH-11 and Waller Flag/6 meter Yagi up again.
Good timing, since Monday there is a company which will be replacing the entire roof.
We may have to wait until they are at leas half way done to get the other antennas up.
All the work took 5-1/2 hours today.
Those who helped were:
Vant K4LM (and RENE)
John W6BXQ
Rich WB4EHG
Randy N4QV
Harvey KC4CX
Kai KE4PT
Jim KG4VPC
Dennis KN4FZK
Leo Kn4???
Bill W2CQ
I hope I didn’t forget anyone.
After that we went to Hooters for some well earned lunch. Our insurance does pay for labor of repairs.
