I was asked to assist disbursing equipment from the estate of "Bruno", SK.  I intend to cover the Fall Hamvests from now to Hamcation.  But, one item was a real surprise and from eHam, I learned that it has earned a loyal following.  You see, Bruno was a retired merchant marine and was planning to sail around the world.  In preparation for that trip, he planned to get his ham license and buy a ham radio.  Well, as fate would have it, he passed before he could get his license or make the trip.  But, he did buy the radio and put it on the shelf. It stayed there until his son found it and other items a few weeks ago.  So that being said, I have a brand new, never been used radio, in a 22 year old box. The inspection tag is still attached!  I took it out to test it, but put it right back in the "(original) box (Yaesu Musen Co. Ltd.) because it is pristine.  Well built and beautiful.
