Now that Club Log and LoTW are sharing it's time to join the group.

1.   QSL 'V' and 'C' are now protected from downgrading by LoTW - 1 Update
2.    How to reset LoTW - 2 Updates
1. QSL 'V' and 'C' are now protected from downgrading by LoTW
If you have a QSO which you marked as confirmed, or verified, then it will no longer be downgraded to any lesser status by an LoTW sync. This should sort out some issues with DXCC award data being incomplete in those syncs. Note that you can still downgrade QSL states with normal ADIF uploads, as expected and necessary if you make that kind of change and expect it to be reflected in Club Log.
2. How to reset LoTW
If you need to resend your logs to LoTW from Club Log, there is now a button to let you clear any existing state and do that. One situation where this is necessary is if you used a certificate in Club Log which has in fact been replaced (i.e. you uploaded a revoked certificate which is still within its time limits). There may be other reasons! Another thing to mention is that if you have synced QSOs that are set as "PHONE" for their mode - which LoTW will do - then you may have had them mapped to an unknown data mode in Club Log. This is because "PHONE" is not a valid mode in the ADIF spec. If your data totals look wrong, please upload your log to Club Log (with "Clear") to get rid of those rogues. On the question of the 'V's it is complicated and seems to vary. One situation is where the QSOs come from paper QSLs, but resident expert Joe WL7E is also aware of some other edge cases and helping out. Many thanks for your patience. I plan to resolve some of these issues by always preserving the 'V' flag on QSOs, i.e. LoTW syncs cannot downgrade a QSO. 73Michael G7VJR
