[SFDXA] SFDXA March Meeting 2016

The SFDXA held an Interesting Meeting last night.

22+ Members and Guests got together early and spent time talking about 
DX QSL Cards and some had Dinner too.

Don N4TZH our President was under the weather, and unable to attend the 
meeting. Get well quick Don.

The Main Speaker was Norm W4QN, founding Member of the Club in 1974. He 
explained all the DX Aids that we DXers have used in the Club from the 
Past, all the way to the Present. The Current DX Aid is the use of 
Skype. He showed us how it is used, and how to set things up to join the 
active Florida DX Groupand work DX with other SFDXA Members. His 
presentation will be on the Club Web Site soon. www.SFDXA.com

Kai KE4PT was voted as outstanding article of the year QST 2015. Way to 
go Kai! I'm sure I have the exact title wrong but it is an Honor indeed!

Some terrific DX Accomplishments by members announced at this meeting:
John K2SHA has completed 5B DXCC.
Ed N4II has completed DXCC on 160 Meters.
Both are fine accomplishments for any DXer. Congratulations gentlemen!

John Stucka N3JM was voted in as a Full Member. Welcome to the club 
John! John gave a very interesting presentation on Lightning at our last 
meeting.

West Palm and Stuart Hamfests are coming up in the next few weeks and 
then The Dayton Hamvention in May. We hope to see you at one, or all of 
them.

Next Meeting is May 4th.
