I don't know how many CCA members chase DX, but I do imagine that many of
those 30L1s, 30S1s and KWS-1s out there are used for that purpose. If that
is the case, I would like to inform the group of my upcoming Antarctic
travels in CQ Zone 13.  From February 16 to March 7 I will operate C6AMD/MM
from the MV National Geographic Orion.  During the periods of February 26 to
March 1 I will be operating as VP8DPC from the costal waters of South
Georgia Island and from March 4 to 5 from the coastal waters of the Falkland
Islands.  Because the operation is shipboard the VP8 contacts can not be
counted for DXCC.   I'm very sorry that I can not take my KW-1, KWS-1 and
75A4 along for this adventure; too big for carry-on..  The rig will be an
Elecraft K3/100 with a 53 foot unun fed wire.  Operation will be on all HF
bands propagation willing, SSB and CW. Check DX clusters to see when I am
