Hello Everyone,

The ARRL Simulated Emergency Test (SET) is this Saturday, October 3^rd .
The SET gives volunteer public service communicators the opportunity
to focus on their capabilities, strengths and weaknesses while
interacting with the NTS nets. The SET helps radio amateurs gain
communication experience using standard procedures on a variety of
modes, under simulated disaster-response conditions.

The scenario for Broward County is as follows:

A disaster has occurred and has affected the radio room at the Broward
EOC. It is not possible to transmit from that room, so it is necessary
to have back-up net control stations from various points in the County
take over disaster communications.

Time frames and frequencies are as follows:

10:00 am to 11:00 am – SET transmissions using a variety of frequencies
– please check in on all

   ·146.910 – Mike Sanner, KM2V, Net Control

·442.850 (Ft. Lauderdale SARNET repeater) and 442.825 (Andytown
SARNET repeater) – Robin Terrill, N4HHP, Net Control – (Check in
starting at 10:30 am as the North Florida Section will be doing a net
starting at 10:00 am)

·146.550 – Kenny Hollenbeck, KD4ZFW, Net Control – Simplex Net

11:00 am – Special session of the SEFTN

·146.610 – Mike Sanner, KM2V, Net Control
