Huge jets of hot plasma are already being seen off the Sun's east limb
this week as a new region that has been busy on the Sun's backside
rotates into view. This region has been firing solar storms, flares,
even a particle radiation storm on the backside. If it keeps up this
activity, we are in for a stellar show this week. See more on these new
prospects, how the recent solar storm fizzle actually helped emergency
communications during the hurricane in Mexico, the new particle
radiation storm that was just launched, and what else the Sun will throw
