Harvey,
In 1976 I sailed into Bahia Mar as captain on a 101 ft. sailboat. The owner
of the had just produced "One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest"
While talking to Gene, who was in his condo in FtL., I mentioned that fact.
Gene came over to the boat and gave me a script for a movie he had written
and asked me to give it to Saul Zaentz, the owner.
I read it and laughed all night thinking about the script. A few weeks
later, when Saul was back on the boat, I gave him the script, who liked it
but said it was not something he was looking for.
Of course by now you have figured out that the script was of the cult
classic "A Christmas Story". Gene also wrote "In God We Trust, All Others
Pay Cash"
I had fun times chatting with Gene until we left to sail south to the
islands.

If you're not a ham you can't appreciate this story.
This is almost 45 minutes long, but has some really funny moments...
